The apartment is ideally located in Koukaki, “one of the top 5 must-visit neighborhoods” in
Athens as decreed by Airbnb. The Acropolis and all the main attractions such as Plaka and
Thiseio are within a short walking distance, while the quaint neighborhood of Mets and the
Temple of Olympian Zeus can be also easily accessed on foot.
The “Syggrou Fix” station with metro, bus and tram connections, is a few minutes away from
your doorstep and the hip and happening pedestrianized streets of Koukaki at a stone’s throw.
Take a stroll and discover traditional meze restaurants (tapas), sophisticated Greek dining
places, wine and cocktail bars. With hipster spots and more authentic options at hand, you can
take your pick as your mood strikes.
Bakeries, grocery shops, supermarkets, hairdressers, arts and crafts shops and mini markets
abound in the surrounding area so you can find anything you need at all hours of the day.

Getting around

You’ll be located in a quiet residential street at the foothills of Filopoppou hill. Veikou and
Syggrou avenues are really close, though, so there is easy access to lots of buses and trolleys.
Moving around by car or taxi is easy and convenient too, thanks to the flat’s proximity to two of
Athens’s main avenues.
Syggrou Metro Station is at 850 meters and there are plenty of bus and trolley bus stops close
to our apartment. You can reach all Athenian emblems in the city center either on foot or by
public transport – make sure to check out the famous sights such as the Greek Parliament and
Syntagma square, the National Garden, the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, the Roman
Forum and the Ancient Agora of Athens!
You can also board a bus or tram to venture to the southern parts of Athens – the waterside
areas of Faliro and Glyfada boast high-end cafés, markets and bars which are the stomping
ground of affluent locals. The Stavros Niarchos Cultural Foundation and the Flisvos Marina are
also must-visit places especially on a warm and sunny day.
