Area
Koukaki is one of the trendiest and liveliest neighborhoods of Athens, just minutes away from all major landmarks and attractions. There is much history, art and architecture in and around this area, as well as a bustling food and nightlife scene. Join in the city’s hip crowd at the characterful bars, quirky galleries and cool eateries here, for a taste of real local life. The leafy hill of Filopappou, one of the Athenians’ favorite promenades, is at a stone’s throw too, and comes with soul restoring views.

The apartment is located a mere 12- minute walk away from Plaka and the Acropolis, while the city’s central shopping district is close by too, as are most museums, big and small alike. The quaint neighborhood of Mets and the Temple of Olympian Zeus can be easily accessed on foot, also.

Bakeries, grocery shops, supermarkets, hairdressers, arts and crafts shops and mini markets abound in the neighborhood so you can find anything you need at all hours of the day.

If you are interested in culture and the arts, the Athens Modern Art Museum is a 10-minute walk away, while the Onassis Cultural Centre and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation – both aesthetically stunning and hosting numerous worthwhile events and performances – a short bus ride away.
Getting around
Kalliroes and Syggrou Avenues are really close to our apartment so there is easy access to lots of buses and trolleybuses or moving around by car or taxi is easy and convenient thanks to its central location close to Kalliroes Avenue, one of the main Avenues in Athens.
Syggrou Metro Station is 1km away and there are plenty of bus and trolley bus stops close to our apartment. You can reach all the main attractions in Athens city center either by walking or by means of transport so enjoy the famous sight such as the Greek Parliament and Syntagma square, the National Garden, the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, the Roman Forum and the Ancient Agora of Athens!
If you want to move to some southern parts of Athens like Nea Smirni, Faliro, and Glyfada districts where lots of authentic Athenian cafés, markets, and bars- where locals also meet –as well as the renowned “Athens Riviera”, you can easily transfer there by bus or tram. Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Flisvos Marina, and the shore are definitely places worth visiting especially if it is a warm and sunny day outside.
The apartment does not have a parking, there is street parking in the area.
At walking distance you will find a metro station and bus stops.
But no worry!!! If you like to walk at a short walk you will be at the Acropolis Area and will be able to enjoy the majority of the sight seeings!!
